Originally from Victoria B.C., Laura Ashton moved to the North Okanagan in 2013. Nature has always been her inspiration, and from a young age she has had a keen interest in botany. In 2013, she was awarded a diploma with distinction from the London Art College in Botanical Painting after completing their diploma program.  Laura also completed the U.K. Society of Botanical Artists (SBA) Distance Learning Course in Botanical Painting, which after 27 months of study, she was awarded a diploma with credit.  Currently, she has been establishing herself as a botanical artist in the North Okanagan and building her website.  Laura sells a selection of original artwork and prints, and works on commissions, often combining watercolour illustration and graphic design.
