Watercolour Owls

I am really inspired by owls and birds right now. I have been wanting to paint some for a while.  I am in the midst of finishing my last SBA assignment and then I have 3 pieces to do for the portfolio which is due in March.  So once I am finished my diploma I am super excited to branch out (excuse the pun) and try painting some birds!

Here are some paintings by artists found on Etsy.com that I really like. All of these are in watercolour.

  1. Antlered owls don't exist, do they? :) Seems totally impractical for flying. I can just imagine him going in for a landing in trees, only to catch his antlers in the branches so he ends up just hanging by them, swaying gently, his body rotating when he tries to turn his head. :)

But I love the emotion and personality that comes across in those. Good choices.

    1. Yes the antlers are a funny addition and I can imagine that would make the silent flight of an owl somewhat difficult not to mention getting stuck in branches!

  2. The owl with antlers is too cute!

    1. Hi Kim
So glad you stopped by again and found my new blog as well. Yes I have been slow on the posts lately as I have been working full time now and been a business and admin program online through a local University here. Anyway I am going to try and post as often as I can and take part in the meet and greet more! Thanks again for stopping by.... I have lots of great ideas to enhance both blogs once I am done school and cannot wait to get the time to do it. :)
