Summer Summary

Out and about, seeing the sights, and hiking with my cat, the latest of my activities. Keenan and I recently returned from a little vacation in the southern region of the province.  We took Pippa with us and she had a great time. We passed through Williams Lake on the way home and the famous Williams Lake Stampede was underway when we were there.  I have always wanted to see what a rodeo is like!  Meanwhile I am busy at work on my latest painting assignment which will be a collection of boreal wildflowers.

  1. How was it traveling with your cat? Our littlest is not a fan of car rides.

And those views... wow. Will never tire of seeing where you live, it's so picturesque!

    1. Thanks Holly
Pippa actually travels very well. We just make her a little nest in the back on top of a suit case where she can see out the window and she is as happy as can be. You can see from the pictures that she enjoys going for hikes on her harness as well. We do however make sure we go somewhere secluded where there is little chance of dogs so there is not an unpleasant encounter with one. And in certain areas we kept her on a very short leash since there are Rattle Snakes hiding out in nooks and crannies. We do not have anyone to look after her when we leave and she would be devastated to be left alone only to have a neighbour drop food off once a day. Glad you like the scenery, guess it makes up for the LONG winter.

    1. Thanks Kim, yes Pippa had a great time.. I also had to apprehend her after I took the picture of the butterfly so she did not eat it. ;)
